You’re not for everybody

I never realized that wearing a T-shirt with a slogan could have such an impact. 

Someone at work gave my husband, Chris, (their boss) a T-shirt for Christmas that read, I’m Not For Everybody. Our family had a good laugh about that and agreed that it suited him. Unfortunately, the shirt was too small and has been sitting on a bench, unworn, since December. 

I picked it up the other day and put it on. I don’t even know why. But something happened.

If you’re a recovering people pleaser, perfectionist, or generally an insecure person like most air personalities, it’s time to shut that down. Even if you’re not on the air, you still get judged by employees, strangers on social media, and usually your kids, so this is for you too. Next time you feel triggered, remember: You’re Not For Everybody. 

If you were for everybody, think how boring you’d be. Not even The Rock can pull that off anymore.
