Something to celebrate

It occurred to me this week that I have been running Angela Perelli Coaching for ten years this month. While I’ve been talent coaching full-time since 2008, November 2014 was when I went out on my own. (And I was still using my perellia@aol.com email!)

When I launched Angela Perelli Coaching, we were living in Toronto. My kids were 10 and 7, all energy and pre-pubescent cuteness. We were busy with hockey games and Girl Guides outings. I was also part of the sandwich generation, managing caregivers long-distance for my mom in San Francisco, who had suffered a stroke. I had just finished a nine-month life coach certification program.

I never intended to run my own business, and yet now it seems like it was inevitable from the start. I majored in mass communications, but with a unique sub-emphasis on interpersonal and small group dynamics. And here I am in the radio industry, navigating personalities and conversations in small group settings. (It’s like it was meant to be!)

I have to be proud of myself for carving out a niche that plays to my interests and allows me to focus on my favorite part of the business (personality!). It also afforded me the flexibility to be present for my family by working at home, Zooming long before 2020. (Anyone remember Skype?)

I’m so grateful for my community of current clients, past clients, colleagues and friends who I reach every week with Showing Up (previously Timely Tips, and Content Ideas before that). I am inspired by your commitment to radio and your creativity and endless energy, especially those of you who wake up every day so very early

Thank you! Keep showing up!
